Movement & Function · 5–10 min each

Measure how your body moves and performs everyday tasks.

Physical function assessments explore your lower-body strength, balance, flexibility and mobility. These tests help establish a baseline from which changes can be tracked over time—and help AEVYNTA understand your movement health as part of your broader health picture.

What it measures

  • 30-Second Chair Stand — lower-body strength and endurance (count of sit-to-stand repetitions)
  • Single-Leg Balance Test — stability, coordination and fall risk indicators
  • Sit-to-Rise Test — full-body flexibility, strength and motor coordination
  • Changes in these results across months and years

How it works

  1. You perform each physical test in your own space—no equipment needed for most
  2. AEVYNTA walks you through each test with clear instructions and safety guidance
  3. You enter your results and AEVYNTA records them as part of your health picture
  4. Results are tracked over time so you can see what changes

What to expect

Most physical function assessments take 3–10 minutes each. Some tests (like the Chair Stand) require a standard chair and open floor space. AEVYNTA will explain exactly what you need before you begin.

⚠ Important limitations

These assessments are not clinical tests. They are not diagnostic—results do not determine whether you have a disease or condition. If you have a recent injury, surgery, or condition that affects mobility, speak with a healthcare professional before completing physical tests.

Evidence note

The 30-Second Chair Stand and Single-Leg Balance Test are validated tools used in research and clinical practice for assessing functional fitness in adults—particularly for fall risk and independence in older adults. The Sit-to-Rise Test has been associated with longevity outcomes in observational research, though the evidence is early-stage. AEVYNTA uses these as context-building tools, not diagnostic instruments.
